Corey Young currently serves as the Director of the Center for Energy Policy and Management (CEPM) at W&J. 成立于2012年, the CEPM is a grant-funded center of excellence dedicated to fostering the development of energy policy that promotes economic growth while minimizing environmental impacts. Since its establishment, the Center has grown to address not only the production, 传输, and consumption of energy but also the broader issues of resilience and sustainability at the community level. 今天, the CEPM works with its affiliated faculty members and student research fellows to provide on-campus energy leadership in an effort to conserve energy, 降低公用事业成本, and reduce carbon emissions; sponsor opportunities for the college community to learn about energy, 技术, and design; and work directly with communities in southwestern Pennsylvania to address issues related to energy and 建筑环境.

Before coming to the CEPM, Corey served as a municipal planner in a suburb of Dallas, TX as well as the Director of Grants and Planning for a transit provider that served communities in north Texas and southern Oklahoma. 作为董事, Corey led a team that established innovative funding mechanisms to support public transit services and won more than $3 million in competitive grants from the Texas Department of Transportation and Federal Transit Administration.

These interdisciplinary courses have typically served as electives and special topics in the 环境研究, 公共政策, 和社会学课程.

In addition to his work at W&J, Corey currently serves on the leadership board for the southwest section of the Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Planning Association as well as on the Board of Directors for the Local Government Academy.
